Get Paid to Play: Every Student Athlete’s Guide to Over $1 Million in College Scholarships $5.02 This book is a handbook for college-bound high school athletes that are interested in playing sports in college. The book will help athletes get recruited by colleges that best match the athlete’s level of play, whether that level is NCAA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Division I, II, or III, NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), or NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). Detailed information about athletic scholarship opportunities, as well as tips on matching students (and marketing them) to appropriate coaches and programs, will be presented in plain language with an appealing, accessible design. This book combines Nancy Nitardy’s extensive coaching, recruiting, and admissions counseling expertise, Kaplan’s test preparation and admissions strategies, and Dr. Gail Schlachter’s (of Reference Service Press) robust scholarship data. It demystifies the process for counselors and athletes alike, presenting four-year plans for both academics and athletics, and walking student athletes through the recruiting and college application processes. The most unique section of this book is a comprehensive list of athletic scholarships, provided by Reference Service Press. Our listing will include approximately 500 scholar-athlete scholarships, and other “portable” scholarships that are not tied to a particular institution (making our book the only one on the market to do so). Each listing will look like those presented in Kaplan’s Scholarships book, including contact information, eligibility requirements, financial data, and important deadlines. |

Miniatures – LCW Chair by Charles and Ray Eames $200 VTA1174: With painstaking detail to the construction, materials and colors, the Miniatures Collection presents this distinguished classic of modern furniture history by Charles and Ray Eames, reduced in size to a 1:6 scale. In 1946 the Eameses produced this famous LCW (Lounge Chair Wood) moulded plywood chair, which was first manufactured by the Molded Plywood Division of the Evans Products Company and then the Herman Miller Furniture Company. Each of the models are hand made and custom built right down to the miniature screws and hand woven fabrics. Due to their precision crafting and meticulous detail, these valuable collector’s items are also ideal illustrative material for universities, colleges of design and architects. For each miniature there is a license agreement with the designer or his or her heirs. Many designers collaborate with Vitra to develop the miniatures of their own designs and offer their assistance by supplying information on the objects. Designed by: Charles and Ray Eames, 1945 Features: -Reduced to 1:6 scale -Miniatures correspond in great detail to the originals -Ideal illustrative material for instructors, designers, and architects -Overall Dimensions: 4.5 H x 3.5 W x 4 D Design: -Design is the process by which almost all objects in Vitra’s surroundings are instilled with a specific design and function – from cars to paper clips, from clothing to chairs. And design does not just mean giving things a shape. Design creates the basis which enables things to function in the desired manner. It is a process in which complementary but often mutually contradictory requirements have to be met (comfort, technology, ergonomics, ecology, economics, aesthetics). Design can be successful only when the balance of all these factors is attained. Quality: -Once in the factory, Vitra staff manufacture furniture to precise standards, individually ensuring the quality of each product. -Vitra has been certified for DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000. -Vitra’s focus on qu |

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a semi- voluntary association of 1,281 institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals that organizes the athletic programs of many colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Its headquarters are located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was under the leadership of president Myles Brand until his death on September 16, 2009 from pancreatic cancer. In August 1973, the current three-division setup of Division I, Division II, and Division III was adopted by the NCAA membership in a special convention. Under NCAA rules, Division I and Division II schools can offer scholarships to athletes for playing a sport. Division III schools may not offer any athletic scholarships. Generally, larger schools compete in Division I and smaller schools in II and III. Division I football was further divided into I-A and I-AA in 1978. Subsequently the term “Division I-AAA” was added to delineate Division I schools which do not field a football program at all. |
